Privacy Policy

PLAYRIOT LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the MuscleFuel AI mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. About MuscleFuel AI

MuscleFuel AI is an AI workout planner and protein tracker for muscle gain. It generates training plans, tracks your lifts and PRs, analyzes protein quality, and helps you log food via voice, photo, barcode, and search.

2. Information We Collect

Authentication. MuscleFuel AI uses Sign in with Apple. We receive a stable opaque user ID and, if you share it, your email or Apple’s private relay address. We never see your Apple ID password.

Training profile. Your goal (bulk, lean bulk, cut, recomp), split preference, weight, height, age, sex, training experience, and target macros. Stored on our server so your data syncs across devices.

Lift log. Sets, reps, weight, RPE, exercise selections, dates. Stored on our server for sync and PR tracking.

Food log. Meals you log via voice, photo, barcode, label, or search — with macros, source name, quantity, time. Stored on our server.

Body metrics. Weight, measurements you choose to log, dates. Stored on our server.

Voice input. When you use voice protein logging, your speech is transcribed by Apple’s on-device SFSpeechRecognizer (audio never leaves your device) and the resulting text is sent to our AI inference service to parse macros. The transcript is retained briefly for processing and then discarded.

Photo input. When you photo-log a meal, the image is sent to our AI inference service for macro analysis. The raw image is processed transiently and is not retained beyond the inference call. The structured result (food name, macros) is saved with your log.

Supplement label photos. When you use Stack Check to read a supplement label, the 1–4 photos you choose are sent to our AI inference service to read the Supplement Facts panel. The photos are processed transiently and are not retained. The amounts read from the label are saved on your device only, for your account, and are not synced to our server.

Subscription state. Whether you have an active Pro entitlement, derived from Apple’s StoreKit. Apple handles the actual payment.

3. What We Don’t Collect

• We don’t track you across other apps or websites.
• We don’t use third-party analytics SDKs.
• We don’t retain voice audio — transcription happens on-device.
• We don’t retain photo images beyond the AI analysis call.
• We don’t share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or fitness-industry partners.

4. How We Use Your Information

• Generate workout plans tied to your goal, experience, and training history.
• Calculate and update macro targets based on your phase and body weight changes.
• Analyze food and protein-source inputs to return macros, quality scores, and recommendations.
• Sync your training, food, and body data across your devices via your account.
• Track PRs and surface progress trends.
• Verify your Pro subscription status with Apple’s StoreKit.

5. Third-Party Services

Sign in with Apple. Authentication is handled entirely by Apple.

Apple Speech Recognition. On-device transcription for voice food logging.

AI inference providers. We use vetted AI inference services (currently OpenAI, Google Gemini and Apple Foundation Models) to parse voice transcripts and analyze meal photos and supplement labels. Requests are sent over TLS with no personally identifying information attached. Providers operate under no-retention enterprise-tier agreements.

Cloud infrastructure. Our application server and database are hosted in Germany (Frankfurt) on IONOS. Sub-processors are listed on request via [email protected].

Apple StoreKit. Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple.

6. Device Permissions

• Microphone — only while you tap the voice-log button.
• Speech Recognition — required for voice logging transcription.
• Camera — only when you tap photo-log, barcode-scan, or label-scan.
• Photos — only if you choose to import an existing photo of a meal.

All permissions revocable in iOS Settings.

7. Data Storage and Deletion

Your account data lives on our server for as long as you have an account. Settings → Account → Delete My Account removes your authentication record, training data, food log, body metrics, and subscription link within 24 hours. The deletion calls Apple’s revoke endpoint to fully disassociate your Sign in with Apple link.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data. We do not share your training data, food log, body metrics, or progress charts with advertisers, fitness brands, supplement companies, or any other third parties. The only third parties involved are listed in Section 5.

9. Children’s Privacy

MuscleFuel AI is intended for adult and adolescent users 13 and older with adult guidance. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

10. Health Disclaimer

MuscleFuel AI is a tracking and planning tool. It is not a medical device, dietitian, or personal trainer. Macro targets, protein recommendations, and workout plans are general estimates. Consult a physician before starting any new training or nutrition program, especially if you have a medical condition.

11. EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the GDPR and equivalent laws: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and the right to object to processing. To make a formal request, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12. Changes to This Policy

If this policy materially changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. For changes that affect what data we collect, we will prompt you in-app on next launch.
